That is the gross figure. The amount an individual actually receives depends on how many claim — and in consumer class actions, most do not. Low claims rates mean the per-claimant payment is higher than $6.60 and the population compensated is a small fraction of the class.
Either way, the arithmetic bounds what this mechanism can deliver. A settlement of this size cannot make 257,500 people whole for anything.
Compare It With The One Case Where Compensation Worked

The difference is not corporate character. It is that Coinbase’s class had a quantified loss — money transferred, on a date, in an amount. Here the loss is exposure, which nobody can price, so the settlement prices the litigation risk instead.

A settlement fund is not an assessment of harm. It is the point at which a defendant’s expected cost of continued litigation exceeds the payment, negotiated against a plaintiff firm’s assessment of the same.
$6.60 per person is the market price of resolving this dispute. It says nothing about what happened to anybody in it — the measurement problem at 25-1219, appearing as a dollar figure.
